Police Message (New)

Inc 322 02/09
Burglary dwelling Vicarage Hill Tanworth in Arden believed to have occurred on Thursday 01/09, whilst occupants were on holiday, the front door has been forced open and offenders have removed items from within. It is unknown at this time the type/value of the items, so it is unknown what type of vehicle may have been involved.
Inc264 03/09
Burglary dwelling Mill Lane Danzey, around 1500hrs on Saturday 03/09, a passing cyclist was aware of a house alarm sounding and saw a green VW Golf make off from the area and reported it to the control room, subsequently it was discovered that entry had been made to the property by removing glass from a rear upvc window causing the inner pain to smash. A number of electrical items including laptops have been taken.
There was also a property on Malthouse Lane Earlswood that had the glass removed from a upvc window  to allow persons unknown to enter the property whilst the occupants were away during the week 21-28th September. Fortunately nothing has been reported as being taken.
A garage on Forshaw Heath Road Earlswood was also broken into overnight Weds/Thurs last week, again nothing was taken.
Inc 46 06/09
The Common Earlswood, theft of a motor vehicle. A secure black Bmw 630t Convertible has been taken without keys from the driveway overnight from the property on The Common. The offence has taken place between 2200 05/09 and 0745 06/09.
We have had reports of suspicious vehicles in the area and surrounding areas recently, that are possibly linked to vehicle crime and request that all suspect activity and vehicles in the area are reported.
If you can assist with any information in relation to the above incidents please call 01926 415000 quoting the inc number.
Whilst it appears that we have been hit recently overall the crime in the area has been below average, and a lot lower than surrounding areas, much of this is down to increased awareness and simple security measures being adopted, and the passing on of information to myself or the control room, and I encourage anyone to pass on registration plates of suspect vehicles in your area.
Burglary risk assessments are available on request, as are forms to obtain free tamperproof screws.
Mobile Police Surgeries are taking place on the first Friday of the month at locations throughout Earlswood/Tanworth, for more details please contact me on any of the contact methods below.

Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included. So for those of you keeping an eye on the stats this may well be the tool to use. To get to the information  just click the link  below Alcester North Crime Data
