Parish Council Report October 2011

Please note this is a report and is not minutes The Parish Council met on Thursday 20 th October 2011 at 19.30 hours in Earlswood Village Hall. 3 members of the public and District Councillors Atkinson and Oakley were present at the meeting. County Council Perry had sent his apologies. Two members of the public gave their reasons for wanting to keep the lay-by on the A435 by Alderhanger Lane open.  It was stated that ‘gentlemen of the night’ have used the area for many years and that the lay-by is used by lorry drivers to take a break and when the lay-by was closed it caused a great inconvenience. The members of the public also stated that they see no merit in the narrowing of the lane which has been mentioned in the past.  Whilst horse riding when the lay-by was closed, riders were forced to go on the main road to Tanworth Lane because they couldn’t get past the concrete blocks, which was very dangerous. The County Council paid to move lights at the end of Alderhanger Lane ,

New Blogger Interface

Has anyone else tried the new blogger interface?  I actually quite like it simple easy to use and does what I need it to do.  Is it me or are some web things going backwards or just learn't lessons from being over complicated. I have always said keeping it simple is best and blogger appear to have done that.  I sort of like things that are functional and easy to use and most importantly do the job I want it to do.

Mini Monsters Turn In To Mere Cats

Well sorry about the quality of the photo it was a quick snap with the mobile. I am not the best of photographers but my Mini Monsters have turned in to Mere Cats and have now discovered the window. The birds and the falling leaves. It should keep them amused for a few hours. They won't be allowed out until after they have been spayed. Keeping them amused isn't so difficult as there are two of them. Remind me not to leave the window open otherwise they may learn to grow wings and fly themselves. Don't worry it's not that far down. However they might just get stuck on another roof. I had a weeks leave this week with the full intention of having a lie in. LoL chance would be a fine thing Mini Monsters made sure of that. They have started to eat me out of house and home and growing fast. Wow I notice I have a new follower. Who ever you are welcome to my blog and enjoy your stay.
