Core Strategy Consultation Period Stratford on Avon District

Stratford-on-Avon District Proposed Submission Core Strategy
Regulation 19, 20 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012
I am writing to inform you that the District Council has approved its Core Strategy for submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination.
The Core Strategy sets out the vision, objectives and framework for managing development in the District up to 2031, contains policies on a wide range of specific subjects, and identifies a number of development site proposals.
In accordance with the Regulations, before the Core Strategy is submitted there will be a six week period for making representations on the legal compliance and soundness of the Plan.
This will commence at 4.00pm on Thursday 5 June and end at 5.00pm on Thursday 17 July.
Representations received will be submitted to the Secretary of State with the Core Strategy and related documents. The Secretary of State will appoint an Inspector to hold a Public Examination of the Core Strategy and consider the representations made.
Anyone making representations should bear in mind that the Examination will only consider whether the procedures for preparing the Core Strategy have been properly followed and whether it satisfies the ‘tests of soundness’ specified in the Regulations.
For this reason you are strongly recommended by the Planning Inspectorate to submit your representations on the prescribed form. This will assist all parties involved in the Examination process, in particular the Inspector, to understand what case you are making and, where applicable, how you wish the Plan to be modified.
Your representations can be submitted online via the District Council’s website www.stratford.gov.uk/corestrategy or by downloading a form and emailing it to planning.policy@stratford-dc.gov.uk
Alternatively, forms can be posted to: FREEPOST RSLH – ZYKJ – TYAZ, Stratford on Avon DC, PO BOX 5341, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 1LE
or handed in at the District Council offices: Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HX
Copies of the form and guidance note can be provided on request.
Where there are large numbers of people who share a common position on the Core Strategy, it would be very helpful to all parties, including the Inspector, if that group submitted a single representation, appending the names and addresses (and email addresses, if available) of those represented. If requested, all the individuals listed will be notified of future stages in the process.
During the period for making representations, the Proposed Submission Core Strategy, Sustainability Appraisal and related documents can be viewed on the District Council’s website at www.stratford.gov.uk/corestrategy
The documents will be available for inspection and purchase at the District Council offices between 8.45am and 5.15pm Mondays to Wednesdays and between 8.45am and 5.00pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
They are also available to view at all libraries in the District during their normal opening hours. See www.warwickshire.gov.uk/findalibraryfor information.

See the Statement of Representations Procedure and Availability of Documents at www.stratford.gov.uk/corestrategy  for more details of documents and prices.

Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included. So for those of you keeping an eye on the stats this may well be the tool to use. To get to the information  just click the link  below Alcester North Crime Data
