Lack Of Noise

Well here you go folks, for once Bod isn't moaning. I stuck my head out the window at about 20:30 last night. I could of heard a pin drop, no motorway noise, the very occasional car passing, no music or loud microphones. I could hear the owls.

In fact it was the quiet you have when there has been a large dumping of snow and everyone decides to stay tucked up at home.

What an absolute pleasure.

Here's the thing not that I am complaining! Why was it so quiet? It was the sort of quiet I remember as being normal.

Isn't it sad there I was moaning about noise and now I am questioning why it is so quiet. Strange!

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
