I am chuffed to bits that Parish Council now has it's new website and even happier that they are uploading minutes from AGMs, Planning, Finance and and PC Meetings. Please read the guidance notes on the link below which takes you directly to  the Tanworth In Arden Parish Council meetings page. http://www.tanworth-pc.org.uk/wordpress/meetings/   I have now been able to change the links on my blog for the March April and May minutes and they are directly downloadable from the Parish Council Website. So for this particular adventure, I hopefully will not need to use Scribd or Dropbox and the documents are hosted where they belong and accessible to those in the community that are interested. A huge thank you to PC and the Webmaster. Please note they are in PDF format. I really hope PC will show more than 3 months worth of minutes unlike previously and create an archive.

It has been over two years and continuous rebuffs of no one uses the web  but its almost there. I have had to have a giggle to my self recently. I complain at work when I don’t hear from my boss for weeks on end in fact I am one of those that ponders on if I do things right or wrong. I have ultimately come to the conclusion If I don’t hear from the Boss everything is OK and s//he will soon stand up and shout if I have dropped the proverbial horlics. I have to apply the same logic to our Local Parish Council as I was talking to a representative of PC at a personal level I was really disillusioned s/he thought the reason for turning up at PC was to moan. Well in actual fact s/he was right I did turn up to have a whinge and point out a few short falls. That doesn’t mean to say the rest of the time they don’t do a good job. Please note this is a Parish Report not Minutes Parish Magazine Report from February 2012 The Parish Council met on Thursday 16th February at 19.30 hours in Earlswood Village Hall. 3 members of the public together with District Councillor Atkinson and County Council Perry were present at the meeting. John Hadley addressed the Parish Council about the state of the public footpaths. He reported that he has made numerous efforts over the past few years to contact the relevant person at Warwickshire County Council about the state of the footpaths from Poolhead Lane to Yew Tree Farm and on to Forshaw Heath Lane (SD272 and SD272c) and has heard nothing back. The applicant for planning permission at Red Roofs in Bates Lane reported that despite the drawing on the plans she has no intention of having a high wall built at the front of the property. I think it is great that Tidbury Green now has a web presence. Like Earlswood it is a small community that straddles borders. I noticed the notice boards in the later part of 2011 and Do you know whats great ? they are still intact and don't appear to need locking up. What did make me smile was the "Standing Orders" If that wasn't written by an ex HM Forces person I think I will eat my hat. What perplexes me is that Parish Councils  and all that they do is public information as a matter of course. So why you would have to ask permission to transmit a meeting in one way or another. That  slightly concerns me.  If the Government can have cameras and live  broadcasts so can our 1st tier of Local Organisations. Its all about accountability and responsibility. As I start to update my blog and give it a makeover. I realise something about myself. I hate things being out of date or incorrect it really irritates me. Once again the 3rd year running I am trying to promote Parish Council Meetings make dates of meetings available to my small audience and once again I am presented with the 2011 meeting dates not 2012 last year it was 2010 not 2011 and the year before 2009 not 2010. I have to say I am fed up of being discrete and giving gentle reminders. I only hope when the new PC website is created such a simple basic thing will be up to date. 

Parish Magazine Report from January 2012 The Parish Council met on Thursday 19th January at 19.30 hours in Tanworth Village Hall. Four members of the public were present. District Councillor Atkinson, District Councillor Oakley and County Councillor Perry were also present at the meeting. A member of the public from Alderhanger Lane addressed the Parish Council. She handed out maps to show where all the residents live in relation to the lay-by on the A435. She reported that although flooding does occur the locals know which roads to use to get through. She questioned how the Parish Council had reached the decision to support keeping the lay-by open. She said that people in Blind Lane have seen the sexual activity and have stopped walking their dogs in that area. Please Note Parish Council Report Not Minutes The Parish Council met on Thursday 17 th November 2011 at 19.30 hours in Tanworth Village Hall. 12 members of the public, together with District Councillor Atkinson, District Councillor Oakley and County Council Perry were present at the meeting. Members of the public expressed their concern at the Parish Council’s decision to support keeping the lay-by open on the A435 by Alderhanger Lane .  One gentleman reported that whilst the lay-by was closed, residents were no longer subject to cars cruising up and down,  residents could resume dog walking without fear of seeing a sexual act taking place and fly-tipping had become non-existent.  Since the lay-by has re-opened fly tipping has resumed, the woods and verges are now used as a toilet, the ditches are damaged and the sexual activities have resumed. Please note this is a report and is not minutes The Parish Council met on Thursday 20 th October 2011 at 19.30 hours in Earlswood Village Hall. 3 members of the public and District Councillors Atkinson and Oakley were present at the meeting. County Council Perry had sent his apologies. Two members of the public gave their reasons for wanting to keep the lay-by on the A435 by Alderhanger Lane open.  It was stated that ‘gentlemen of the night’ have used the area for many years and that the lay-by is used by lorry drivers to take a break and when the lay-by was closed it caused a great inconvenience. The members of the public also stated that they see no merit in the narrowing of the lane which has been mentioned in the past.  Whilst horse riding when the lay-by was closed, riders were forced to go on the main road to Tanworth Lane because they couldn’t get past the concrete blocks, which was very dangerous. Councillor Perry sent his apologies but forwarded the following report: WCC have confirmed that the front wall at Field House does encroach on to the highway.   Paul Cowley has written to the owners informing them of this and Mike will report back at the next meeting. This rubbish in Forshaw Heath Lane has been removed and WCC are looking are putting bollards there. There is to be a site visit with an engineer of Bridleway SD268 in mid October to discuss the drainage. In Forshaw Heath Road they are looking at reducing the speed limit from 60mph to 50mph in the New Year. Please note this is a report and is not Minutes The Parish Council met on Thursday  18 th  August   2011 at 19.30 hours in  Earlswood  Village Hall.   Four members of the public and District Councillor Oakley, District Councillor Atkinson and County Councillor Perry were present.   T hree  residents from  Malthouse Lane spoke  for three  minutes each regarding the strip of land outside 61 and 63 Malthouse Lane.  This land is included in  a parcel of land at the entrance to Malthouse Lane Park in Malthouse Lane which Stratford District Council are looking to transfer to the Parish Council.  The residents  gave a brief history of the land, its historical and current maintenance, which they carry   out at their own expense.  They emphasised their wish to purchase the strip and to take it on officially as their own property, making it part of their gardens.  The Parish Council  were asked  ...
