Messing Around With The Blog

On what was meant to be a quick makeover I ended up getting in a total pickle with revamping my blog.

I don't know why but I decided after a few short weeks I was already bored with it and instead of curved gentle lines and water ripples wanted it straight and orderly.

I have just broken one of my own rules.

I get use to a website or a blog and curse when someone changes the layout and often wondered why they do it! Now I know the reason they get bored with the way it looks and works.

So for now welcome to my new look blog. It isn't finished but I have now got fed up with messing around, no doubt I will have another brain wave later and change it again.

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
