Openly Local

OMG My blog is Hyperlocal and has now been listed in Openly Local not only that I am the first Hyperlocal site to be listed under the Stratford -On- Avon listings. Come on Parish Council, Residents Association and Birds Of Earlswood come and join me. A few weeks ago for the first time I came across the word Hyper Local and wondered if I fell into that category it seems I do :o) I am really pleased as our nearest Hyper Local site previously was in Acocks Green!

What is Openly Local?


Openly Local is a new project to develop an open and unified way of accessing Local Government information.

So far we have opened up data for over 140 local authorities, and more are being added every week, with more information being opened up too.


We currently have information on:
  • 162 councils
  • 10,283 councillors
  • 6,341 committees
  • 66,280 committee meetings

Contact us at:  ewp2010@btinternet.com  or on 07528 595444      Newsletter 12   Welcome to 2013, now the snow has gone it is time to start planning our programme for the year and we hope as many people as possible will join in. The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th  November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Core Strategy Consultation Period Stratford on Avon District

Stratford-on-Avon District Proposed Submission Core Strategy Regulation 19, 20 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 https://www.stratford.gov.uk/planning/proposed-submission-representation-form.cfm/form/cspropsubs14/q/1  I am writing to inform you that the District Council has approved its Core Strategy for submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination. The Core Strategy sets out the vision, objectives and framework for managing development in the District up to 2031, contains policies on a wide range of specific subjects, and identifies a number of development site proposals. Well I once again appear to have taken quite a long sabbatical however I thought it worth coming out of blogging retirement to make any readers I may have left aware of the following response Solihull MBC have received in their recent call for sites for future housing needs. This call for sites is by Solihull MBC and Barrats have responded with the following From the Methodist Church to Earlswood Station From Earlswood Station running in the line of the woods behind Poplars farm behind the Limes and up to Pound Close. Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
