What Am I doing?
  • Trying to formulate an up to date list Of Parish Councils who use the Web to inform their communities.
Why am I doing This?

Because information should be easily available when it comes to where you live and its always best to stay informed and in touch with what is happening around you. Parish Council's are the best place to start. If you don't know they are there beavering away how can you expect to keep informed.

I also think in the year 2011 basic information should be easily accessible and up to date at  Hyper Local level.
Whilst talking or corresponding with one of my fellow bloggers It sparked interest in exactly how many of the Parish Councils within the SDC area have a presence on the web.
At first glance I was disappointed as I really would have thought the majority  of PCs would  be officially represented on the SDC website. 

The list below has been collated  in the first instance from the SDC Web site. 02/07/11  It may just be that this part of SDC s site is out of date. Please note some web sites don't work but this is how they are listed On SDC directory.
My next trick is to use google and see if any of the PCs in the list below are represented on the web in an official capacity.

Contact us at:  ewp2010@btinternet.com  or on 07528 595444      Newsletter 12   Welcome to 2013, now the snow has gone it is time to start planning our programme for the year and we hope as many people as possible will join in. The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th  November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Core Strategy Consultation Period Stratford on Avon District

Stratford-on-Avon District Proposed Submission Core Strategy Regulation 19, 20 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 https://www.stratford.gov.uk/planning/proposed-submission-representation-form.cfm/form/cspropsubs14/q/1  I am writing to inform you that the District Council has approved its Core Strategy for submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination. Well I once again appear to have taken quite a long sabbatical however I thought it worth coming out of blogging retirement to make any readers I may have left aware of the following response Solihull MBC have received in their recent call for sites for future housing needs. This call for sites is by Solihull MBC and Barrats have responded with the following From the Methodist Church to Earlswood Station From Earlswood Station running in the line of the woods behind Poplars farm behind the Limes and up to Pound Close. Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
