Forshaw Heath Road Update Speed

Having received a telephone call from our County Councillor yesterday, I have been informed that the speed limit on Forshaw Heath Road will be reduced to 50 mph.

Its a start and thank you to those that have worked hard in getting it reduced.

Although I still don't understand why it can't be dropped to 40. That is another conversation which I best not publish, suffice to say it was rather a heated discussion.

But hey 50 is better than 60

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
