Between 0840-1840 on Monday offenders have gained entry through a set of rear upvc doors by removing the lock mechanism, of a property on Broad Lane Tanworth in Arden. Once inside an untidy search has been made, and amongst the items taken were, a Macbook, a Blackberry, and a petrol driven saw.

This is the first burglary reported this year so far, and is only the 5th crime reported in the area, however all of these offences have occurred in the last 2 weeks, indicating that offenders are now actively looking for opportunities.

We have had 2 vans entered, a damage to a BMW which is believed to be an attempt to steal the vehicle, and a theft from garage.

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
