WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE A RAFFLE TOO

FUNDS RAISED TO BE USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

To Date the Earlswood Lakes Fundraising Committee has:-

v Organised and run two Summer fetes (sadly this is no longer financially viable)

v Purchased a new piece of children’s play equipment for the park

v Given cash donations to:-

o Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance

o West Midlands Air Ambulance

o Henley Community First Responders (who work throughout Earlswood)

o Earlswood Wildlife Partnership

o Swan Rescue

o Earlswood and Forshaw Heath Resident’s Association

We are currently in the process of painting the existing children’s play equipment in the park; looking into funding a defibrillator for the local community and purchasing sound equipment for Earlswood Village Hall.

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Core Strategy Consultation Period Stratford on Avon District

This call for sites is by Solihull MBC and Barrats have responded with the following From the Methodist Church to Earlswood Station From Earlswood Station running in the line of the woods behind Poplars farm behind the Limes and up to Pound Close. Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
