Earlswood Village Community Care is a thriving group on Facebook. It is community orientated and community led and has proved invaluable during the last few difficult months. Facebook has never been my own personal choice of communication. I am a Twitter girl. Short sweet and to the point. However I am not so daft as to not realise that everyone has their own favorite form of communication and Facebook was a much needed community asset. This private group is thriving well moderated and does not stand any nonsense. Its a pleasant place to be if you want to catch up with local news and events pertaining to Earlswood & Forshaw Heath. I personally am chuffed to bits someone has taken the initiative and made the Facebook platform available for the Residents of Earlswood & Forshaw Heath. The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! This call for sites is by Solihull MBC and Barrats have responded with the following From the Methodist Church to Earlswood Station From Earlswood Station running in the line of the woods behind Poplars farm behind the Limes and up to Pound Close. Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
