Sunny Day Simple Drive Making Someone else Happy.

Yesterday for the first time in approx 7 months. My MIL made it past the end of her drive in Malthouse Lane. I had already decided that it was time for my Mother In Law to get out of the house and out and about and for her to remember what the Parish looked like. She was wearing her mask.

I have a sporty little number of a car. Where taking the roof back for those that know me, If its dry that is exactly what I do even through the winter months. Its quite simple the car can be warm even through the winter with its roof down.

How on earth will MIL cope with a sports car? The fact is she does, I suspect its because it is lower to the ground and not so far for Mrs C senior to reach the seat.

I hadn't got a clue where I was going. I just wanted my MIL to get out the house and remember some of the beautiful views and surrounding . We didn't go far and we didn't go for long. We just went down memory lanes and some new lanes.

Through Tanworth In Arden  we saw a wedding a lot of happy people and a Bride

We found a parking spot in Henley for an Ice Cream but the Que was so long we gave it a miss.

We turned left at the bottom of Henley High Street  The flowers and colour on the Right-hand side before Henley In Arden High School were beautiful. What a fantastic display of colour from window boxes and hanging baskets. What a lovely surprise if I wasn't driving I would have taken a photo.

We then drove on wards and upwards and went on a bit of an unknown adventure. I decided to turn left several turns past the Crab Tree. What a peaceful lovely drive towards Lowensford. We saw ducks in a farm yard, A lonesome very healthy looking Chicken  on the grass verge. Some beautiful Warwickshire Countryside and not a car in sight. The time came where I knew MIL had had enough so we headed home.

I almost reversed the journey but my promise to my self was I would be brave and cross Earlswood Lakes Causeway so my MIL could see The Lakes in the Sunshine. (OMG This really is a biggie for me)  I reached the Kit there was nothing coming, I got half way across the Causeway when the idiot in a big black car from MHL put his foot down. Shame on you who ever you were. I was almost halfway between the Kit Pile and Malthouse Lane. Because I had my elderly MIL in my little car. I simply reversed back to the Kit Pile (OMG Thant is not something I want to do again) I didn't bite as I had my Mum In Law with me.  Had I been by myself I may have had the stand up row.

FFS Carrie reversing and not biting is unheard of  especially across the Lakes Cause Way and no my little car didn't end up impaled and eventually parked neatly so as the Fuck Wit (Possible Resident)  in the big black saloon car could pass.

Anyway I think we enjoyed our roam/drive around the Parish and Henley-In Arden in our little open top sports car just bumbling along not a care in the world and generally chit chatting about some of the memories, sights, sounds and fantastic views. Will I be taking Mum in Law out again. I have no choice she wants a Henley Ice Cream and albeit a short drive it was an absolute pleasure.

Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included. So for those of you keeping an eye on the stats this may well be the tool to use. To get to the information  just click the link  below Alcester North Crime Data
