Theft From Motor Vehicles

Springbrook Lane

There were 2 separate thefts from vehicles left on driveways on Springbrook Lane in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Both vehicles were reported as being secure. One vehicle had its rear window smashed, unknown how second vehicle was entered as no damage reported at present.

Both had items removed from the boot, that were in a bag and not visible.

Laptops and personal items were amongst items removed from each vehicle.

A number of items from one vehicle were found at various points along Malthouse Lane leading into Small Lane.

Please ensure all items are removed from vehicles when left unattended.

If anybody has any information in relation to the thefts please call 101 and quote the above inc number

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
