Continuing Mystery Of The Vodka Bottles!

As those of you that may have read I decided to do something about the litter in the lane I live in may be a week or a week and a half ago. I almost filled one wheelie bin with litter and disregarded or lost items. Yes I took my wheelie bin down the lane. Like an idiot I started picking litter up at the top of the lane and not at the bottom. OMG!!! that wheelie Bin got heavy. Next time I will work from the bottom of the lane up to the top As you may remember I was baffled by the volume of vodka bottles I found. By the time I collected and disposed of them

there were approximately 20 Smirnoff No 21 bottles. On the grass verge and in the ditch, scattered at various different intervals, all on the same side of the road. Although I thought it was strange and perhaps thought oh well we have just been through the Christmas & New year season. No excuse I know! I couldn't believe it yesterday when yet again the Mystery Guest SMIRNOFF 21 made an appearance. More than anything I hope they are walking and not driving. I really do wish SMIRNOFF 21 would dispose of their empty bottles in a bin and not in a ditch or a grass verge. I suppose the one good thing is all bottles had their tops on so the little wild Critas couldn't get inside.

The dormouse, reptile, bat and butterfly surveys will be continuing and we hope to undertake a bee survey as well but if you have any suggestions of the type of activities you would like please get in touch. Dormouse Survey – 10 th November No evidence of dormice was found but we did find a wood mouse nest. This caused a bit of excitement but unfortunately, the nest was empty! Crime Stats Alcester North October 2020

Well as crime has been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and it has always appeared difficult to find any meaningful crime stats. I have at long last found the information used by the Police lurking on the Police.uk website. It is not live data and runs approx 6 to 8 weeks in arrears for example October 2020 is now visible. This is a totally interactive tool, easy to use and has a great dashboard, what is good about this tool it also provides outcomes. The default is for the whole of the Alcester North area however it is simple to find out where the hot spots are and which crimes have been included.
